Sand Scorcher driver is taking shape!!!
I have managed to make blokey's arm move with wheel, bit of a mare to work out. His wrists, elbows & shoulders have full movement, hands pivot on wheel. Had to make it all, so that i can strip it down for perfect paint, then re-asemble.
Have bent his thumb up, need to do hands
up,down, side to side movement on wrists
Pins will be bonded into wheel
then hands clip onto pins
Now to do other arm the same! Sigh!!!!
2nd arm was a breez, unlike 1st one!
One more problem sorted.............

Serious engineering at it's best! Just how far can we go with these things? Next thing you know we will be building remote controlled drivers who actually steer and push a 'gas' pedal! Oh wait, don't mean to give you any ideas. hahaaa... Really nice work!
Outta Control
Cool project, man!

Well with Nano tech! Who knows what could be done! I would love to make a 1/4 scale SS with working flat four!!! So maybe that would have to have an organic humanoid driver??
SRB Bloke
Great work Gary, one thing leads to another and one problem to the next.. Every minute is time well spent on this awesome SS...

That is so true Steve, as you know, the more detail we add, the more is needed to compliment and one prob solved leads to another! but it what we love. I have some really anorak detailing lined up for this one, gonna go as far as my static builds, but make it usable!
slimmy
