I bought this Egress about 6 weeks ago, it was a bit of a basket case with broken rear hubs and a stack of parts missing but I had high hopes :)
Stripped down the chassis to the last screw, all cleaned and rebuilt with new parts fitted where necessary, Tbg body with genuine decals fitted. I had a nightmare with the body and wing :(

It has DynaTech motor and R/C gear fitted as it will be a runner for a while, when the weather gets better I will take it out and get some pics/video of it in action.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to rescue this classic buggy, it's my favourite Tamiya by a mile now, comments welcome ;)

As it arrived :( Stripped! Getting there Almost done ready to run :)

Thanks ShayD, by the look of it I could tell it had been out of action for years. It's alive again now though!

Nice work...this is my second favorite vintage tamiya 4WD behind the Supershot and I would love to get my hands on some day. Superb job.

Cool, HotShot DNA in the form of tires. I know some would not agree with me, but if Tamiya were to re re this buggy, I would get it before I bought an Avante. I have always had a liking for this one vs the Avante. I guess some could say this was the Avante Mk3 though.

Awesome looking egress! I have always loved the egress. You wouldn't have an extra battery holder for the egress would you? The little part that keeps the battery in place and takes a body clip. I need one to finish my resto project. I sure do like yours

Just gotta love the look of these, let alone how they drive. I've recently picked up a couple of project cars/trucks only to give up and let em go but I'm deff' gonna strip and lovingly re-build my Egress I've just got. Might even treat it to a new shell and go box art on it as you can't beat the sleak lines in that silver. Mine just looks like any other generic buggy atm in the scheme it's in. Thanks for the extra inspiration.

@Gecko-no-more cheers mate. This proves that anything can be restored Yours looks great, love the vintage paint scheme, they were all the rage in the 90's
