Best Christmas Ever!

Hi all,
there is a little story behind the entry of this rather unspectacular picture to the competition I want to share.
So here it goes:
On the 20th of December 2011 I saw this awesome SuperChamp / Scorcher hybrid for sale from member musashi.dk. Its a masterpiece and I got a fat bonus the day before so I thought I'd give myself a little christmas treat. So I bought it off Bo, one of the nicest Blokes here on TC. He shipped the car on the 22nd from Denmark to Germany, so I had hopes I would get it right after Christmas. Boy, was I wrong! On the 24th the doorbell rang (I was still in bed and contemplating if I should answer the door) and I finally opened. The postman handed over a nicely sized package from Denmark, muttering 'Merry Christmas'! I couldn't believe it, ran to fetch a knife within a sec, but WAIT...Why not spare it for Christmas eve and unpack it under the tree...So I did. After the whole family had unpacked their presents and I was giftet several useful kitchen appliances (bought a house that year) I produced Bo's package. I carefully opened the box and was stunned: He had made a one-off packaging out of black foam, with neat cut-outs for the roof, wheels, motor etc. All in all about 5 layers. Never received a car in a better packing! It finally revealed a unique Scorcher with restored Super Champ chassis in a paint finish a professional couldn't do better. It nicely reflected the chrismas lights and I felt like I was 12 again, nervously unpacking my first Tamiya Kit ever.
I put the car where I could stare at it over the whole evening and thats what I did. This is where I took the picture. It was the best Christmas present in a long time and thanks so much, Bo, for making this possible and bringing back so many great memories!
Cheers to all TC members, the only ones who can really understand what it felt like! :)

Nice pic and nice story. I can imagine how much kitchen stuff you got and I think you made the right decision in giving yourself such an awesome gift (kind of compensation for the kitchen stuff ).

Christian, brilliant! There is nothing like the 12 year old excitement is there! I cant wait to see more about the Schuper Champ. My girls were more suitably impressed by your Christmas tree though I have to say. Have a great new year! C&C&C&P..
