Here one of my 2012 projects: the Rat Shot.

Basically this is an old Hot Shot 2 made totally with used parts from my restoring projects. My first idea was a desert racer with sponsors and so on. Now it will be a rat racer and will be covered with rust and dust.
I cut the wing stays to give it a more frame buggy look, then I painted black all red parts (except front damper that is a work in progress) and the wheels.
I'm thinking to mount four Hummer wheels with some 1.9 truck tires, don't know now. The car is fully ball raced and has CVD all around. The front bumper will be hand made frame bumper to match the rear cage. Driver head will be without helmet, probably a modified Brat driver head. My intention is to compact more the front end to reduce the length of the model so the mono shock will go for another suspension solution, maybe a dual shocks with mini black CVA dampers.
Will add a fuel tank on the right side and a Holiday Buggy tank on the left. Also will add a couple of FAV headlights on front and rear FAV tail light on the rear cage.
The car will not have a body or a wing obviously.

Also this car has some unknown cnc wheels adapters. Stay tuned.

1 The Rat Shot. - Dust all around. - Love this rear cage. - Black wheels.

WOW, that is pretty cool looking and I wish I knew who made those wheel adaptors as they seem to be cool. I bet Kokozu could help you with the front damper set up in ideas as he made one of these with an F-1 style suspension a few years ago.. Cool looking now and can't wait to see more of it come along. If you need more dust, I have plenty around here.

Might be better to dye the nylon black using nylon dye. I did this with my bigwig dampers, rollcage and wheels. Stops all the paint flaking off when it sees some action.
Nice ideas though. Love the hotshot 2.
