Well here is my christmas build. It started off with just the kit which i purchased from modelzone for a bargain price of £130 delivered back in November. Since then I have purchased a junfac front skid plate, gpm 4 link suspension, gpm rear shock mounts, gpm steering, ball bearings, alloy roof rack, rear jerry can, ansmann crawler wheels and tyres and some black wheel nuts. The chassis took a good few hours to build ( it was christmas day after a few beers) plus the gpm 4 link was a pain in the bum to fit as there is no instruction plus the info I could find on the internet was for the swb version where as this is the lwb version. Both diffs are locked as this will be run offf road. The chassis looks really good in a mixture of alloy and black.
The bodyshell was a pain to do with it being 3 colours. First of all the whole body was masked off to paint the rear bumper and rear wheel arches in black then I masked the roof off (to be painted in white later). I really could not decide what colour to paint it, I had spent so much money on it that I would rather use a paint I already had. So the choices where light blue (ps25 light blue, ps30 green or ps4 dark blue) I wanted to go a little dark so the front body post were not as visible so ps25 was eliminated. My Isuzu mu is green so that was also eliminated so I was left with ps4 dark blue. As soon as the final layer of white was painted I knew that I had made the correct choice. All that is
needed to do now is apply the decals and weathering. Enjoy the pics and when the model is finnished an the weather picks up I will add a few more pics.
Enjoy!!!! and Happy new year. Please feel free to comment.

Great color, I found a Matchbox in that same combo, want to replicate it, now I know what color to do it with. I bet those extra goodies set you back about half the kit price again. Someday, I will get to working on mine.

Nice work. How did you find the time over Christmas to build it. Great build and definately the right colour.
