Now this is something that doesn´t happen often. I have a car not even the admin knows about as it isn´t listed in the numbers catalogue. Admin, please actualize the 42xxx numbers!
So because of the big success that the TRF511 had Tamiya made a second batch, it seems to me strictly limited edition, don´t know why they always do that for such great cars.
I only got this kit with loads of troubles via a Japanese contact. I didn´t have troubles with the Japanese contact but finding it was hard.
I asked all my friends and contacts all over the world and nobody could help, not even Tamiya USA is selling this version and the old one is out of stock. Shame on you Tamiya hiding such a nice kit.
Now the only difference to the normal TRF511 is that that this version comes with Gear diffs AND ball diffs in the kit. Don´t ask about the price of this kit, i try to forget about it...
Could be i am the only one in Europe that has this kit...

Well my friend I see you went for the expensive option Great box art and it could be one of the rarest Tamiya cars in Europe... Do you plan to build it? Congratulations on finding it, excellent Tamiya detective work

Thanks mate, yes it was expensive. Still worth the money i think. I think i won´t build it for now. I will try to source some essential spares so that i won´t need to opne it up only for a spare part.
So lukc i found this!!

Wow! Had heard about this version, but thought Tamiya had cancelled its release. Is the only difference the inclusion of the gear diffs (part no. 54329)???? You're a lucky chap

Cool! Champ R/C Adviser has them. They quoted me for a TRF 201 LE and also a 511 and 502. There quote include 511 with gear diffs! I had to ask if it came with balls diffs. they replied 'yes'. Unfortunately the cost was too much and I settled on the TRF 201 LE from Stella Models. I'm envious! Anybody want to buy my Yokomo 1994 so I can get one of these!

Hey guys, yes it´s actually equipped with Ball diffs AND Gear diffs, maybe that´s one reason why it is more expensive than the older version. Apart from that fact, there is no difference i was told.
