Tamiya's Wild One PROTOTYPE
Last year Tamiya did rere the FAV.
I loved it, only I was to late to order one of the first batch... And waiting for the second batch was no option!
So I decided to write Mr T an email, explaining that I really wanted one. After a couple of mails, I received the answer they were going to send me 'something'.
So when the box arrived, I was trilled to find out that they have send me the original prototype of a Wild One. Only problem was, it's poor condition. It was very good used, but afterwards it had been standing outside for a couple of years. Mr T however gave me everything I needed to get it back in running condition.
I decided to do only a technical rebuild, as I wanted to show the world how the car looked like!
The testdriver is not the Stig, but his grandfather. Lt Smith :-)

I rarely like civilian FAVs, but must admit your work makes this one look really really good!

Lots of potential!

I find the story hard to believe, but it does look like a mixture of FAV and WO.
Road Burner
That's awesome of them!

Nice car, super story, might want to save the correspondence and leave it alone save the parts you swapped out. Nice!!

how do you know it's the prototype?

For everybody who's wondering...
I know it's a prototype because I build myself.
Always wanted a Wild One, but couldn't wait for the rere of it. So that's the reason I ordered a FAV, and made a 'prototype' of the Wild One... Including rust
So it really is a rere FAV, buit up as my interpretation of an early Wild One proto
Sorry
