eBay Purchase...Tamiya Fire Dragon, Stripped down, liberally apply new parts, and resurect...

Nearly there now, bar the new shell and decals... thinking of going for a Thunder Shot body shell. In no rush to paint it and may make a few mockups of colour options if I can find the time...

the build took about 6 and a half hours from unpacking the new parts [chassis and wheels freshly collected this morning from the postie].

Thanks to taliesin for the top tip on where I could source new damper internals from!! Great work.

Thanks also to Martin for the adjustable upper arms and rear crash bars. Cheers mate.
Enjoy the story, your comments are always welcomed. thanks for looking!

New parts I have been buying here and there More Parts... all essential for the restoration Took Tamiyaclubs advice on the grease... Cerra ;) Out with the old, in with the new... Decided to go with adjustable arms from TC member looking all brand new minus yellow shocks... Liking the look of this one now Shocks assembled and added Wheels are Aansman 1/10th Buggy Roadies... :) Just can't wait to use the new motor!!!!!

Looks great! Where did you source the wheels/tires?

hi viperchief, you can get them from Fusion Hobbies [plus get a discount if you are a TC member or subscriber.... They are great up close to be honest.

The rubber tread is kind of sticky, think like a slick racing tyre on a motor cycle. they appear very firm, and may be foam filled or with inserts. either way great for tarmac by the looks of things
