BLITZEN DS!
I’m excited! :) :)
I’m not one for listing NIB’s but truth is, I have too many. I’ve been after an Associated RC10 ally roller for ages with the intention of building a custom Blitzer Beetle. My first attempt ended up with two mint gold pans which is in my showroom there somewhere, and then to top the search, I landed another Associated RC10 DS Racer Kit that was still shrink wrapped and sealed. In an attempt to subdue my frustration due to not being able to cut down a brand new chassis, I went out and bought a re-re Sand Scorcher instead.
Like with all good intentions, my DS Blitzer Beetle idea wouldn’t disappear or go away. The car featured here is/was another attempt at trying to achieve my objective – sigh..!
This second RC10 DS Qualifier new build is planted on foams with an almost flawless chassis and includes two bodies. The NASTRUCK body is super hard to find and costs a small fortune if you can. To top it off was the seller who was an absolute star to deal with and accommodating in everyway - Thanks Joe! The NASCAR body might just give me a good enough reason to assemble my NIB DS Racer.
Finally! ..on a casual bay cruise, I happened upon an original NIB #58122 Blitzer Beetle at a reasonable price which had my name written all over it.
Now to conclude:- my AE RC10 DS Blitzer is not going to happen just yet, but number 58122 is going to have the lightning driven out of it! :)

Cheers Wyo! ..I thought so too. I can't wait to assemble the Blitzer and take it down to the beach for a play. I'll be packing in my camera as well.

I think there are more and more non-tamiya entries! Cool find, always like rare and exotic!

Cheers pininy for your nice comment. I'm not fixated on Tamiya. I think there are other manufacturers who make superior products but Tamiya is a definite leader when it comes to aesthetic details. It's hard to find better bodies than Tamiya but others like ABC and Yokomo are also very good.
