Hornet Suspension modification
I have been bogged down lately with a number of things, but I am finally getting ahead of it and have time for a quick update on my Hornet.
Many people have made this mod using the CPR aftermarket suspension set for the FX-10 available on Ebay. It gives you double wishbone front suspension with a longer stroke shock than the other mods that keep the original suspension mounting points.
It is not a direct fit but can be made to fit with some modifications to the chassis with a Dremel :)
I also gave the rear the 3rd rear spring mod' using the left overs from the original front springs.
Tamiya Tamtech shocks are used up front as these are great quality and close in design to the original rear shocks.
A few more modifications to go before this is done. I can't wait to run it as I am told the front mod changes the handling no end.

I think the Legendary Hornet will always be a handful in its handling performance with that rolling rigid axle but this sure looks interesting!!
This should inprove the steering??
But the Hornet still screams out fun to me with its original suspension but yours sure looks like it means business!!
Love the wheels to buddy!
Cheers MAD-BEE

Love your mods, looks really great! Is your front bumper an after market part, or is it a cut down orignal?
Toykid
Thanks Kyosho_collector. I added pic's below of how I modd'ed the front bumper. It is just the original cut down and then drilled to fit.

Nice rims and I love the mods. I might consider them for my re-re at some point.

Very nice work on it, look like it looks a bit higher on the wheels now!

Is it just me..., or is the spring retaining screw still in the lower gearbox mount?
