Just some more pics from this weekends beach excursions. My sandy pretty much missed out on summer as I gave a customer of my LHS one of my driveshafts to keep him running as the LHS couldn't get one. I had all the intentions in the world of getting another but after 5 months it never happened. That was until Mrs Berman asked me why I dont take it to the beach anymore. I told her what happened and *tada* a pair of driveshafts turned up from the UK on wednesday (thanks hun!) :) My Fox stripped one of it's axles (one of the boots deteriorated) so i robbed the esc and sport tuned motor out of that and got the scorcher running again. I've had so much fun with it this weekend. Went to a place just up the coast (it snuck into the boot of the car, honest!) called Whangamata on Saturday (a stones throw from mate Renco5012's old place, shame he's no longer there :( ) and then my usual spot this arvo. Dragged the brat out as I cant remember the last time I had that out. Great times, forgot how much entertainment the scorcher is! :)

Great pics Neil. Has the brat got a spool in it (no diff)? I contacted Don also and he is keen for a get together before winter sets in. Are you heading towards Auckland at any stage in the next couple of months? Flick me an email if you are.

There's no better place to run a Scorcher than the beach. I'm itching to get mine sandy after seeing these pics Great photos.

It makes such a mess of the cars running on the beach and they need a full strip clean up after!! What a pain in the bum!!

BUT.........What a blast!!!

The sandy beach is the place that Tamiya shot all the cool vids in the 80s and all our bedroom walls were covered with pictures & posters of our favourite Tamiya buggies jumping or spinning in sand!
It is the best place you can drive these in my view! Total fun and a great test of the buggies grip and power!!also a good test on how waterpoof we can get them! its worth the long clean up after! plus they look Awesome beach blasting just as your pictures show!
As stickerbod said...in its element!!
Excellent shots and a great looking Scorcher & Brat!
1,4,7 are Magic!
Cheers pal.

Cheers stickerbod, for me it's the best place to take it!
Kel the Brat is re-re, so open, but with anti-wear on the bevels, not heading up there anytime soon but I'm keen regardless! Absolutely sludgeguts, get her out there! Yes moffman, they are made for the beach, some prefer the powdery stuff, I like the slightly damp/packed sand myself. Thanks MAD-BEE, couldn't have said it better myself, totally worth it! Cheers mate! Thank you CASE1! Gav I saw you sell a bunch of SRB stuff, and I never thought to ask. Maybe I was dreaming of the super clod you were selling? Thank you for the offer though mate! Haha Thanks the-way, note to self, you should leave a SS on the beach when the tide comes in! :O Cheers Erich, I was on photo duty, it was Mrs Berman driving again! Indeed they are VINTAGE HILUX FAN, I can attest to that! and Thank you! I had a great time kyosho collector, and cheers mate!

I sooo miss this!! The dunes around Whanga are great, but I never did get any cars out there, only Onemana. Let's get organised for June eh?

berman

Yeah when I went there, there was some sideways whoops created by the surf, if the sandy had a little extra speed I could've gotten liftoff on each one Looking forward to it!
