The Avante 2001 #2
A full nut and bolt to original box-art specification Avante 2001. I acquired her, an ex runner last year and came loaded with brand new body & wheel/tire set, and Sport Tuned motor, so the most expensive parts sorted on behalf. And I thought, since I already have a 'black' 2001 so would do it justice to do a box-art version! So all she needed was a box-art specification paint job in Tamiya brilliant blue semi-transparent look, full valet, polish of all dull metal bits, new gearbox bulkheads, plastic parts here & there, new screws & bolts, ball bearings for steering crank, and voila! In all her glory!

Tamiya Era: Yes Haider you're so right! They are so unique, so Avantgarde these Avantes are! Real satisfaction when they are nicely done and even more satisfied when they turn up so gorgeous in the photoshoot!

Absolutely stunning yet again.....although I do prefer your black one more I'm currently rebuiding a 2001 and hope it turns out as good as this. I have to agree that the Avante family of cars are very addictive.

Type49rs: Thanks again for the kind words! Can't wait to see your resto project! Well both have their different style of approach - the 'Black' is like Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith and the 'Blue' is Luke Skywalker Jedi Master! Black is BadAss and Blue is Elegant!

Great work you did on that Avante, great job and it looks cool also. Are you going to run it!
sunnyjai
def4x4: No the 2001's are my shelf queens, so rare and expensive parts discourages me from making them runners. That job is dedicated to my Avante 2011's awaiting my spanner!
