A full nut and bolt to original box-art restoration with full 'period' options list that include; 1.Dyna Tech 02H, 2. Front & rear posi-universals, and 3. Top Force Evo 6mm turnbuckle upper arm upgrades suit the theme better than the blue adjusters...
When she arrived from a Singapore seller along with an NIB, thank goodness she was complete but was somewhat coated with sticky goo that was a pain to clean! All metal parts were corroded needing a full machine polish and tires were pretty much rotted. Got the body cheap (by today's standards) and a month of TLC surgery got her back to her blazing glory!

Another beautiful restoration, great work yet again. I couldn't wait for Tamiya to do a re-re so I just purchased another used example off the bay. Great idea using the Evo turnbuckles and ball adjusters. I agree, the blue ones do look out of place.

You have produced some real Tamiya filth in the last few days!!
I can't sleep at night!!!
I just can't get these sexy machines out of my head!
First that lush pair of Avante's.....and now this Gorgeous thing!!
Thats enough mate!
I have had enough i need a good night's sleep! Please stop!!

Awesome Egress sunnyjai buddy!
Cheers a very tired MAD-BEE

Very cool, I don't think I'd ever seen how low and aggressive these sat, looks ready for a track

Tamiya Era: Hmm difficult choices *scratching head*!
@ Fernado Alonso, Sheriff: Thanks guys appreciate the comments!
MAD-BEE: It's really catching up on lost time buddy! I too couldn't sleep realising I needed to find the time to take shots of these restored beauties! And I think it's very hard for me to stop - I have inherited the severe Tamiyacosis Virus thanks to TIMECMDR - Blame him he poisoned me! Lols
Wyoming: That's why I really needed to showcase these cars to show how aggressive they can look with the right setup and shots. And given my Black Avante 2001's, and Terra Scorcher I had for example, back in the days I actually ran these thangs slammed! But ran them on road of course!

TIMECMDR you should be ashamed!!

sunnyjai do you have your cars on shelves mate? your Avante's & Egress would look Superb on display!! I have most of my favourites on shelves and its a pretty sight.....but i am not allowed them in the front room which is a shame,so cars are in the hallway on shelves! but i do find the dust a pain!
my wife must get sick of me always dusting them off!! lol.
I need a glass cabinet!

Cheers pal.

sof101: I can imagine how you feel buddy! I am pinching and slapping myself wishing in the 90's I was collecting all these era Tamiyas when they were going for cheap and others, dirt cheap prices! Well as the saying goes - there's always a second chance!

MAD-BEE: It was actually good that TIMECMDR got me back into this hobby - I was just a spectator in this hobby for a limited fashion just to restore the then few handful of built long-termers in my collection. Then in seeing his and other TC member's collections I was mesmerised and that turned into an obsession like gravity being pulled into a blackhole and the rest was history! Okay about keeping them in peak condition, i'm actually in progress of renovating my new home (bought an old home and renovating it). So currently i'm storing them in IKEA transparent containers keeping them temporarily 'sealed' from the dreaded dust and humidity. My new hobby room will have semi-sealed glass cabinets that are on the cards. So currently in my store room I have stacks of these containers with built kits in it to keep them fresh & funky! And my name is Sunny what's yours mate?

Yes bud its great to be pulled back into this wonderful hobby!! So thumbs up to TIMECMDR!!
It was this club that relit my fire!!
So thanks TC!!

So you will have a hobby room!! That is my dreams, but we live in a one bedroom apartment! Its compact but modern but no spare room!!

But i pass my cars in the hallway every day when going out and coming in so thats nice! but a glass cabinet would be awesome!
Its great that a guy like me from England can share our passion for this hobby with a guy like you from Malaysia!! Now thats cool!! I get to see your collection and you mine! Wicked!!

Thats a cool name Sunny!

All the best pal.
Cheers James.

MAD-BEE: Yes that's the great thing about the internet age - it has made the world a lot smaller and TC made it a whole lot more personal! davidr2007: Thanks mate! TIMECMDR: Tariq ma man! Thanks for the kind comments, and now you've been implicated as the devils advocate! Lols Direction is more like a wake up call of how much i'm out i'm really needing to get back into this hobby when we first met! Lols

Ampex456 & djp780: Thankyou very much for the kind comments! The restoration project was a very satisfying one from the day I secured it to the day I took her photos. Was (and still is) among my top wish list of Tamiya's and design-wise a work of art
