This is my restored Kyosho Ultima . I got the basic project in trade from Dante77 ( thanks Christian ) . I have bought many new parts for this and a big thanks goes out to Richard , Ralf, Lauri, Myles , Andy and Mike who are Eddystone , Schwanz, Winniez, Tamiyoman , Stickerbod and Gr2fltp respectively - a major thanks for all of your help and input . I wanted to keep this more less stock 'box art' with MSC etc. and I also salvaged / repaired , resprayed & redecalled the original body shell & wing that came in the project as anyone who knows me will know I like a challenge and I hate to bin anything really . I have a front & rear stabilizer kit on there and also a rear motor guard to finish off the chassis nicely . I hope you guys like it and your comments are welcome *** BTW I am looking for an original Kyosho stick battery for display for this with the correct Kyosho clip end on it ***

A lovely stance on this original body etc

Well Mike , I am toying around with a Raider truck chassis which is sporting a Frankenstein King BF shell which I'm hoping to complete as either an Ironman Ivan style truck - or a Monster Robbie Gordon style truck - it is on the slab as we speak . I made the chassis from old stuff lying around , and an eBay Raider project I bought just to get the red damper collars from it for this Ultima -stay tooned

The Ultima and 5b are indeed of the same designer, I forgot his name but he worked for Kyosho, and currently HPI. So it's fair to say the the 5b essentially is an Ultima, just blown up with a mid engine!! RC Car Action did an article a while back about it.

Hey Kev!
Wow, what a great job you've done! Can't believe this is the same shell I've sent you! Love it!
BTW, the HPI Baja 5B was designed by the same guy, Mr. Kogawa
