A local win

A 4 channel Acoms radio for 15 quid, available locally. I couldn't believe it when I won it. After my dad went to pick it up he emailed asking did I realize it was 35mhz? No was the short answer, but given that the tranny and receiver are in excellent condition I'm sure I can overlook the frequency indiscretion. Was this set up available in 27mhz?
