Grasshopper II: Paint on GH2 body finally
Hi people,
finally I primed with Tamiya Fine Surface Primer the body of my Grasshopper II. As you can see in the pictures I filled the roof hole, the bonnet hole and the rear wing holes. I created new hidden bodymounts. I like ABS bodies because you can work on.

Cleaner looking shell well done, Any idea of the plan for this one or is it just a cleaner look?

Yes, absolutely know about the car. It's a shelf queen, now I'm painting the body then will apply the decals. As you can see there are two side holes. They are for the lamps that will be yellow and black like the Frog. Body Columns and roll bar will be X-10 Gun Metal instead of X-12 Silver. The car will have Wild One rims and tires and yellow CVA shock absorbers.

This is avery special build! Not often someone put so much effort into a GH2. I started with a similar resto of my GH2, but now it's been sitting on the loft for 3 years. I'm curious about how you solved the hidden bodymounts as I damaged both the rear on mine when it flipped over and flied upside-down on the pavement...

@ mor10retro: I just painted the body with TS-26 and now it is drying. Will make soon some pictures of the body upside down but you can follow this project also on the forum:

Looks very sleek, I do like the idea of cleaning up the holes, more stream lined. Great work!

Thanks everybody for the comments.
@ the-way: the bumper is the original one cut and tight and screwed to the chassis.
