This has to be my best auction on ebay. Once again, the seller didn't know what they had and didn't list it properly. It is an unpainted, complete original Avante. Seriously never thought I would own one of these because they are just too expensive.

It was listed as Lot of 2 REMOTE CONTROL CAR'S Buggy's RC10 Team Associated Untested. And all the pictures were small, couldn't even tell if it was for sure an Avante, or which version, but the rear lower control arms looked just like the Vanquish's but metal, so I figured it was most likely an Avante, and so I pulled the trigger without knowing for sure.

They are complete with battery and two remotes, including the cool somewhat rare Futaba magnum pictured below. I think I will retire one of my Magnum Jr's and use this now.

The Avante is very dirty, but looks complete and in very good condition. It appears to have a very old ESC that has no plastic case around it. Don't know what the story is with that. They came with MSC right? The body is all there and unpainted, even though the seller didn't even show the avante body in the pictures, only showed the RC10 beat up body.

It also came with a Gold Pan RC10. I have wanted one of these since I was a little kid, but now that I have my Tamiya addiction going full swing, I haven't been looking for one at all, so its a bonus... but probably will sell or trade it for something I need. I also need original Avante Decals if anyone has any... Probably will have to go with 2011 or repro decals, they are similar and probably can't afford originals.

Winning bid... $167.

The Avante could not accommodate a full MSC setup; Tamiya recommended their CPR units as a result, particularly the CPR-P100F as it was out at the time. Quite a find!

That was a steal, if you do end up selling the RC10, you most certainly could buy the decals then. I like the radio, I have one like it too. The CPR was the way to go as these cars were tight for electrics. The CPRs were also mostly 27MHz so keep a watch out for one, you could get lucky like I did earlier this year.
