Just picked this up from the LHS for a really good price. I picked up an original WO locally who was the original owner of the WO and purchased in the 80's. I offered a fair price as I know how much these go for over 2 years ago (before re re FAV and of course WO). NOW, I have a dilemma, should I stop running the original WO and use the new RERE as a runner or shelf queen? As you can see from the pic that the WO has been ran maybe 7-8 times but still in very decent shape. Also anyone know what changes Tamiya made? Looks like the rear shocks, drive shaft has been changed. Also, the ESC looks to be the latest Tamiya ESC 105BK. Thanks for looking!
A Winter Project Gently used WO Anyone know what BONUS part is?

Also noticed the Wild One is not on the drop down menu on TC. Is it because it's just been RERE? Oh, here's a little video which some may have seen which includes my WO [Click here]

Great score! I fell in love with the scale realism of these a few years ago and actually got rid of my Fox so I could add an original Wild One to my collection. I understand your dilemma -- we've all been there. Personally, I am firmly resisting the idea of building and running a re-re in favor of my original which is what I do with all but a couple of exceptions in my collection. I think that if you want to completely transport yourself back to the 1980's then you have to run the original. If not, run the re re and have a blast!

The bonus item is the bearings that were taped to the inside of the box . WOOHOO NOT!! ... Could have been some thing better , Maybe like a ball diff . But no ! all we get is bearings sadly .
Keep the old WO for the shelf & build the new one to run with , As you can get parts for it & you don't have to be to care full as much . You can go wild with it as it was meant to be . Then you could lean up the original & put it on the shelf .
You still need some bearings , can't remember now meany you need . Good luck .

Bonus parts are eight 1150 metal bearings, which I do not believe is enough to complete the car. Great-looking find!

Ain't nothin like the feeling of surprise dirt cheap LHS, barn/attic, or a random eBay find. Congrats! As for which one to run? Most defo the re:re! Runs better with the new drive shafts and dampers so you can slowly restore your beloved vintage WO

Sounds good. I will run the RE RE. The original one belongs on the shelf as now I have a modern WO as a runner. Thanks for looking!
