The decals that were on my recently purchased Audi were starting to peel. I'm guessing they were just cheap repo stickers. So I decided that a new set was in order. Only issue I had was that the paint job is flakey in places and will need to be removed and redone at some stage, but that will have once I restore this properly. When I do, I'll make some changes to the way I made the decals so the sit a bit better. Not the best job, but I think a definite improvement on what was there before.

For now I'd like to be able to drive it a little, but carefully of coarse, I don't want to go damaging that body.

Those sure do pop, looks more grey in the middle than I think the original, seems there was a touch of blue or something lighter grey on the Tamiya colors. This sure dresses it up.

Yeah, the repo stickers that were on it were definitely more green than grey. It seems the original stickers were also like that, but maybe not as bad. I did some research on the car though and the actual rallye car had grey, and this was the closest match I could get (these stickers are a little dark). I'm happy enough with it though.

Thanks ShayD, I also made the decals on my Pantera, Renault Martini mk 22 and Wild One in my show room.

You know what, if the real car has those colors, that is what they should be, I think it is great to get as close to the real thing as possible. How are the rest of the details coming along?? front lights etc?

Yeah I prefer to match real life colours if I can. For the rest of the car I'll either need to copy some spotlights and driver I have here or spend big on ebay for an original set. I'm tempted to just make a mould of some spotlights and a driver that I can then reuse for other projects.
