Completely inspired by TC member def4x4, and his awesome 2CV, I had to have a try at one of my own... This is a lexan shell I got from Germany Ebay, and I tried to make it as detailed as I could. This turned out to be an excellent project, and was way more fun than I'd imagined. Shell is mounted via velcro to a CC01 chassis. It's a blast to drive on the dirt with it's skinny tires and soft springs. Love it! Comments welcome, thanks for looking! --------- Complete build thread with 90+ photos here - http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68247

Amazing look, only good comments come to my mind.
mor10retro
Great looking 2cv. I can see why you wanted to build one after seeing def4x4's 2cv. Yet you have a slightly different style, which I also like very much. Love the 2 last action shots, very scale body lean! Great work!
scorcher-tec
I keep looking at these as we have a 1:1 2cv which is in the process of being repaired- maybe a 1:10 scale may be a quicker option
We all love this one and def4x4's thanks for posting
blackfoot dave
I watched this build in the forums but couldn't comment there, here I can.
Great custom build!!!
speedy_w_beans
Looks great. I think I like the second picture the most as it's the little details like the luggage rack, luggage, stickers, bungie cords, canvas roof, hippie sticker, etc. that make this very unique...
def4x4
I´m not a member at the forum here but i follow your build from the start. Amezing work Scot what you did here, so many great details, and better then mine lol! Love your tire choice and the color looks great. Just one little thing, sorry that whey dont live close together, so whe coudt drive ours 2CV´s in the same spot!
RACECRAFTERS
Absolutely awesome! All the little things make the big difference.

I can't say I know what these things are never seen a real one but they are kind of quirky fun looking cars, but as a model it looks superb and like a fun to drive machine, nice work Scott.
Skottoman
Appreciate the kind comments guys! @def4x4 - In no way is this 'better' than yours, it's just different. I LOVE your 2CV, so much that it was my inspiration! I'd also love to have both of them in the same place, but alas, we are quite far away... @Seth - I have seen these and ridden in these in France a few times. They are quite unique, and almost barely even real cars... Look them up, and you'll see! For everyone else, thank you for the comments, it makes a build like this even better to share with people who appreciate it. My wife just says 'It's cute'. haha...
BeetleOne
Absolutely great job! Beautiful vehicle!
matman

AMAZING!!! Your work customizing this model is frankly superb. A pleasure to see one of these old Critroen. My parents had one back in the 70's. Love it.
Morgi74
You've made this just perfect. Absolute great job!!!
f2g78
Amazing!!!!, the body is perfect
many thanks for this french touch !!!!
SUPERBE
sludgeguts
Perfection.
TA-Mark
Absolutely brilliant build mate. With the outdoor setting and camera angle it makes it almost look like a 1:1 2CV. I still think seeing the diff centre under the back (pic 2) is out of place though.
pagedm_f350
Amazing work!! A real masterpiece, I love seeing these kinds of builds
Torhaantje
Brilliant!!!!!!
In Holland we call these 2CV's ( deux chaveaux= two horses) : 'Lelijke eendjes', which means ugly ducklings...
This one resembles the full scale car perfectly!
Well done, great built and thanks for sharing!!

Congrats Mate, that's fantastic.
lupogtiboy
That is just AWESOME! Looks like it even leans just like the real car too!
SteveAdair
Mate, that is one of the best car scale builds I have ever seen. Very well done. It is awesome. Very detailed and, like others have said here, it looks like 1:1 in some shots. Thanks for sharing.
neobrunox
Fantastic ! you have done it perfectly, very realistic
R/CVET
Great work...the scale detail is fantastic!
Issi-72
Awesome!!! Nice job.

Absolutely fantastic work. I thought it was a real 2cv initially! I wish I had the skill to do something like this!

Great work as always!
MAD-BEE
Well done thats a cracker!! Love it!
The 2cv was the best James Bond car of them all! lol
*Topcat*
Top modelling skills. Had to look twice at this one to make sure it wasnt a 1.1 and then had to look a 3rd time just to make sure
Dirt-540
Never been a fan of Citroens, especially the 2CV. But this is absolutley brilliant! Its scale perfection and the photos are really good too. Even the colour and weathering are excellent, 10 out of 10 for everything on this one my friend. I never thought I'd admit this but... I'd love a Citroen CV2 in my collection now, even if it was only half as good as yours.
Singleseven
Your attention to detail is such that it wouldn't suprise me to learn that you travelled to Europe to take these shots
Great project Scott (again!)
neobrunox
Please make a video with these fantastic 2CV
Skottoman
Thank you again for all the comments guys! I will need to make a video of the 2CV going on an adventure sometime soon!
Soonsie
Very inspiring build! You did an amzing job! Nice tire/wheel combo, but isn't 19 inch on a 2cv a bit to big!?
Skottoman
Yes, the wheel/tire combo is a bit large compared to the 1:1, but it was the most straight forward way to create the 'look' of the skinny tires and the flat wheel. I think it gives it a little more character and off road ability!
calicool
lol
scollins
Beautiful build, very original, and brilliantly executed. Perfect! Thank you for sharing these photos!
Porsche356supersport
I can almost smell the cheese and baguettes rolling around on the back seat!
Pintopower
The body roll is accurate too!
