MK2 SCORCHER RESTO part 4
Heres a bit of an update on fellow member twisty's old scorcher which i purchased off tc many moons ago...its only been 3 years since my last post on it...!!!better late then never, also i restore paintwork on classic british and japanese motorcycles besides having a shift work day job...thats my excuse anyway..lol ..and i'm sticking to it...!!
This is my first posting of any of my paintwork as members might have thought i just restore the chassis's and ship the paintwork out, anyway here goes.....
after all the repairs were carried out,it was fully primed an given a 'guide'coat..then flatted with P1000 wet/dry ready for topcoat.
all the tamiya colours are pro-matched at my local paint suppliers and shot through a gun,no rattle cans, for easier application.
I really like the alternate boxart scheme, makes a change from the blue and white boxart.just got to matt black the rubber screen seals and running boards, then final fit up .i always have besides srb's hilux's & blazers on the go,so please bear with me...fully restored chassis pics to follow.
comments welcome good...and bad..lol

Holy C#@* you've been keeping that quiet my friend, I think we need to chat
They are just beautiful, on a level I could only dream of.!!!! walking into your garage and seeing 4 completed shells would be like santas grotto for me. All I can say is you're a very very talented man, in pic 8 they all look like they are made of treacle, you could dip your finger in them, GREAT finish !!

Just incredible paint work! I love it when the pros get involved. Using a paint gun just seems to make everything so smooth! Really great work, it inspires me to start getting more spare bodies to paint!

Thanks for all the great comments, quite overwhelmed..!,yeah they take a bit of prep but it pays off in the end,as with all paintwork...nice to get comments from people whose work i've admired over the years,
i'm very blinkered as some of you might know ,must be my age....
i restore and only collect the vintage srb's inc super champ and the vintage 3-speeds..sorry wayne me owd pal...,no fifth or eighth scale for me..
regarding the tech side i use devilbiss sri or sata minijet with the full 1.0 set up,overthining the product so not to obscure the detail...
good to here from 'the moose' an'all ! ..big fan ...mate ..big fan !! yorkshire YORKSHIRE !!...hee hee
