I bought this towards the end of 2011 from TC member Beetlelover as an Xmas present to myself. The chassis is in excellent used condition and only needed a light restoration. It was originally painted green so needed a new body and decals to bring it back to boxart. The body is a repro from TBG and after many months of searching a genuine set of decals came up on ebay from Jim Sourbeck. Really pleased with the way it's turned out, just need a C-100 to go with it :)

Fantastic looking machine, nice example you have there. I am hoping Tamiya will re-release this body on the RM-01 chassis.

Thanks guys, yes a re-re Tornado body would be fantastic on the RM-01..... might even buy one myself.

That is a beautiful Tornado! You did a great job on the body. Did you paint the figure from the underside? It looks great.

Thank you guys. @ Mincemeat: yes, the driver figure is painted from the underside.... he has very shiny overalls @ Beetlelover: yes James getting a lot closer but have some really hard (and expensive) ones to find now.
