The Little 'un
Picked this up to sit alongside it's big brother, had one of these (and a Hornet Jr) back in the day although that one had blue tyres. This one has 'memorial edition' printed on the box, although not sure whats different about it. These appear to be becoming as hard to find as it's big brother also. Next will hopefully be a TamTech gear GB01 Fox to join the family. Anyway, as always comments most welcome

i love bringing the families together! fyi if it helps the GB01 fox can be made from any other GB01 buggy and a few easy to find parts. nice mini 4WD!

Hey I remember the blue tyres, spin out. Nice pick up, very cool.

very nice indeed , I should get the fox family as well . I have been looking for a NIB GB01 fox .
But had no luck , there was heaps of them & for some reason at the time i didn't buy one . Grr me . This looks like a little gem , great find .

Nice find, they are getting difficult to find. I had not noticed much different than the decal for the memorial edition. It would probably take an expert to know the differences, but it would be certain that this is a RE RE due to the fact it has that decal, but when you want all the sizes, who really cares?? I had done the same with the HotShot Junior and found that sometimes they changed the chassis the cars were placed on.

@Crash Cramer, if infact these did get RE RE'd, at least it is still manufactured in Japan rather than Philippines like some of the RC's I guess, I saw one of these on ebay recently for around $170 USD, is that a joke??
Crash Cramer
No it is NOT, I have seen some of the vintage fetch over $200, just ebay search the model and add the word JUNIOR to it and see what pops up, my eyes popped out of my head. I don't know if they were schill bids, but they went for more than a new RC kit.
mtbkym01
WOW, that's possibly ridiculous

Actually just checked again and the one I saw for $179 US is the same as this memorial edition and has since sold (or ended), pretty happy with this one then at about 1/4 the price.

[hi! link fixed, please delete other comment] yeah the $$ of these seems to have been skyrocketing continuously since i started paying attention to them. the hardest to get - if you aren't willing to write a blank check, which i wasn't ... i never pay retail, oy vey - were the falcon, bigwig, boomerang and fox. the falcon actually was the hardest. i think i saw one sell for well over $200. originally i settled for a vintage, built, damaged one and bought a re-re anniversary which had the same parts in green and painted over them. but without decals it wasn't ideal. then i was lucky enough to score this -- [Click here] -- which, since i planned to build the falcon and super sabre i didn't care that the boxes were smooshed. falcon was A-OK, ssabre had no stickers (still looking). as usual, cast that net and you'll often find more than anticipated... so later i found an affordable NIB falcon also. so i have 3, one new built, one sort of wonky restored, and one NIB. similar story for bigwig and fox. the only one i still can't find a NIB of is the boomerang. just have built and empty box. but not a pressing need anymore... can wait for one to turn up for not much $.

I had the Fox Jr with blue tires as well. It was some sort of special edition with a clear chassis. Unfortunately, I think it was thrown out because the tires dried out and cracked. :-o X-(
mtbkym01
Yes that's right, the clear chassis, hope I can ind it at my folks place
