SRB Manx - first prototype
I managed to get my first prototype right on schedule.
Everything worked out pretty good considering this is the first time I get to see it for real.
The body is considerably shorter than the original Sand Rover, but it works and is more scale (for the SWB manx).
The thing I like the most about this shorter size is that the standard tamiya wheels are no longer swamped by the length of the body. I can't wait to try a number of different wheels including the smaller mini wheels to give a low profile street look.
Next steps are to figure out the interior and rework some small changes in addition to reworking the rear to get closer to the classic manx.

I can't decide who's the bigger genius YOU or the Printer. Awesome work all round, you do realise that this is just the start, you can now design and build any idea you've ever had. We're expecting greatness

Speechless! That is perfection right there!

That is so very cool and The Big Bang Theory just had an episode air that is nearly the same in practice. I am wondering if you will somehow incorporate the Manx emblem on the front and perhaps get Mr. Bruce Meyers to autograph your work.

Oh my god, I thought this will be good, but it´s even better! And how clever thought is also the RC-Box and the fittings to the body!
The front shock towers are also the modified version I guess, to not stick out in the front hood?
Anyway, I have my new screensaver!
Meakz1973
Brilliant.

Very interesting fabrication, printer? I'm baffled. Sweet stuff though and Mr Tamiya has a contender in his midst.

Possibly the most exciting project I've seen on TC! Can we have a shot of the chassis with the body off? Cheers.
Cool... very cool, love the increadible scale look. What stuff is it, you made all the body parts, hard ABS, resin or something! Looking to the other details and cant wait to a great paint color. Take your time with this project, its amezing.
