OK guys, I would appreciate some input here. Love it or hate it please feel free to let me know what you think.

I have sketched up 3 options for the driver.

Option 1: Wild Willy body with Moto helmet

Option 2: Wild Willy body with Cowboy hat (thanks to Matt Hicks for letting me use his head as a mock up)..

Option 3: The old classic Cowboy (I would of course do an updated more detailed sculpt).

Let me know what you think?

Option 1. Option 2. Option 3.

What about a twist on the Sand Scorcher driver? His helmet is nicely 'in period'.

I like both 1 and 3. Agree with Steffen that an open-faced helmet such as the SS driver should work really well too.

no2, a perfect twist on the driver to match a perfect twist on a classic model..

For such an amazing scale looking buggy it would have to be 3, the others look great but not in the rover.

James, you let me down then. I saw the small pic on the home page and I thought finish those super cool helmets you were designing
I love option 1, but you've spent hours/days getting that body completely scale. I think you have to have a complete scale figure that is completely perfect for the era of this buggy... Maybe no hat at all.. every film we see these in no one had a hat or helmet.

For scale look #3. But why not two girls driving around on the beach with their hair blowing in the air? Check with toymkr

Option 1 for me!! Looks class

Definitely option 3. In such a beautiful scaled car, the other 2 would seem too 'cartoon´ish', I think.

great work! In this car I like them in order 2-3-1 (2 = best) But it depends on how wild or scale you gonna paint the body as well. Anuway: all 3 very very nice

I would say go the whole hog an put a scale Elvis figure in, someone posted a vid of one he was driving, looked so cool, and would be the crown your creation deserves!

I'm going to agree with most so far and say option 3 because it just looks right but option 1 is a very close second. I'd have no problem with the racer look.

#3 for me but loos the hat! Or completely new figure, something with a short sleev shirt or dare i say a chik would really go well. I'm sure what ever you come up with is going to be a ripper!
