A very nice kit with a sadly abig pricetag. IMO some years too late for this re-re but still a very impressive kit. I still have 2 NIB and this one was built boxart. I had some original decals so I used that one except from the blue parts. I painted the side lights orange and red on the outside ( not clear as stated) but wanted it to look 'painted on' like the MK1 original. I did the same with the front side lights and I think it looks more authentic. The paint was airbrushed lightly over the clear parts just enough to cover them but when the LED was installed it will light up. The motor is stock and the ESC is a Novak Crawler set. I used some alu wheels who look a lot better and not so toy-ish like the chrome stock wheels. A driver was installed and so this is my occasional light runner. BTW I run stuck in 3th gear on a 3th channel spectrum pistol transmitter. The paintjob is 100% so carefull not to scratch it. Very fond of this and hope Tamiya will do the Mounteneer aswell

This is a great looking RC vehicle and I hope to purchase one soon. I use the spektrum 3 channel tx too. If you set the servo up on these gearboxes to be in 1st gear at rest, then you can use the 2 remaining settings on the 3rd channel to change in to 2nd & 3rd gears.

That is a stunner
