Tamiya's best vintage 2wd buggy
Well it's been a long time coming but finally I've found one.... and a real good one at that. Many thanks to Bruce (wilton84) for selling it to me. Most of the parts are either new or in very good used condition. I've done a few minor tweeks to it and fitted a new pair of shock towers...... not that it needed them but for $6usd each it would have been rude not to. The original body was in good condition but wasn't 100% boxart so this one was sourced from TC member Ralphee (many thanks Lee). A very cool car..... and now I can see what all the fuss is about :)

Welcome to the club of people who has fallen for the spell of the Dyna Storm You've got a perfect example there, thanks for sharing!

Agreed, it's a really agressive and cool looking car! For me it's kinda Tamiya's first 'serious' competition 2WD car. And did you know that it actually existed in a 201X variant? (full carbon etc) Kinda the start of TRF...

A nice example and a very understated piece of kit that should be given more credibility as a collector's piece.

Buddy you are welcome. She really does look great, glad the shell did its job, looks nice on there.
Its hard not to stare at this buggy, so many clean lines!

Nice score....after ignoring these for years after they came out I finally wised up and got one a few years ago.

The only problem now is that I've never driven one of these before and I'm starting to get an itchy trigger finger. This one is definately a shelfer so I may have to find a well used example to use as a runner.

Definetely get that second example to run They're an absolute blast and with a few small precautions it's extremely durable, too!
