I decided it was such a nice day, and my shelfer Blackfoot and quasi-shelfer Monster Beetle were literally collecting dust it was a good time for a little suburban safari. These are shelfers, so there was no running going on... but it was nice to see them out in their natural habitat! Like fashion models in a rugged outdoorsy photo shoot.

The Monster Beetle is a quasi-shelfer because it's my shelfer chassis, but my shelfer body still isn't finished so this is the Monster Beetle body I had listed on eBay but nobody seemed to bite and I got tired of it hanging around and pulled down the listing. For now, she will have a home on my shelfer chassis - at least until the piece de resistance body is finished.

my favorite trucks of COURSE i have a fat buddha

Thanks men of Tamiya Club. The few, the proud. You all have excellent taste in your profound admiration for my photographic and modelling excellence! EXCELLENCE! Oh and @Berman I kind of prefer the grill untouched. It looks newer that way. I also started not painting some of my hard bodies for the same reason, so long as they are the right color.

Thats two tamiya greats you have lurking in the grass there beef - Sort of finshed my own resto on my original BF with repro decals and looks how i wanted it which was my best efforts of 20+ years ago... and it looks ace!! wanted a look to to bring back memories rather than shelf so pleased. Now to finish off my MB shelfer and get pictures of the two outdoors like these.... sadly the grass has been mowed so the effect may be ruined lol. Good pictures

Nice action BF getting out there amongst the rough stuff. The BF looks particularly at home in the 2nd shot.
