Patriotic Pony 4th of July run
This is the car that brought me back into rc back in 1996 and one of the longest term residents in my collection. Also easily my favorite Tamiya road car livery. I used to run it all the time but now he gets shelf queen duty except one day a year when I take him out and give him a run. I'm not usually into speed but this one has a Sport tuned motor and speed tuned gears and is my fastest car, the old guy ran perfect today but the old dry rotted tires finally gave up and fell apart but with the front one way it gave some cool drifting with the ruined tires before the run was over until next year ;)

I think the cracks in the tires are just revision opnenings to check the inserts...Nice ride by the way!

That's a very sharp paint job!

Nice! Looks like those tires need rotation!

Very nicely executed painting there and I think new tires are definitely in order. I think I have some of those alu arms as well, funny what you get in lot purchases. Happy Fourth of July.

It's so odd to see you post a car, so use to your scale trucks. That mustang sure does look good. And it looks like it would be loads of fun.

Thanks guys. It funny I actually have almost as many road cars as trucks and I run road cars all the time but the truth is road cars are just not as interesting for me to photograph so I don't tend to take many pictures of them...But they are fun to drive and less cleanup than my trucks

Nice looking car!

Daammnnn Seth, your TA02 chassis really brings back memories for me! One of my TA02's had exactly the same arms and knuckles, aah back in the days! But what ever you do don't ever sell her! Lol

I always liked the Mustangs and don't see that many of them....great paint scheme.

That chassis looks not as TA02 stock one with all the alu hot ups, but it looks great.
The paint looks great with all the stripes and stars. ; -)

thanks guys, it started out as a stock TA02 but I think I've replaced or upgraded every single part except a few of the gears, the rear bumper and the body posts over the years. So not much remains of the original kit I built but the process has been lots of fun for the last 17 years or so
