Some time ago I cobbled together the remaining hoard of used Optima Mid parts that I had stashed for years and built this runner out of them.
The Mid looks great with these wheels & tyres from the Tamiya Egress but then, I have yet to see a buggy who's looks have not been improved by fitting them. These black lightweight wheels are the coolest that Tamiya have ever created IMO.

Stealthy! Wheels & Tyres a match made in heaven. Burns bumper doesn't harm the looks either. Black & Orange go great together too. Narrow front tyres is a better look too. A few more coats of paint needed on the wing! Top Notch Marwan Body & Decals. Easily Kyosho's best looking vintage creation IMO.

Nice one Andy, the Egress wheels really give it some attitude !. Almost finished my own silver/blue creation, waiting on Marwans' decals now.

I think you may be right about those wheels, they look great and really suit the overall look of this buggy.

One of the kewest color combinations I've seen on a Mid! Those wheels certainly suit these cars albeit me being partial to black rims. Love the originality Wandy and very well done!

Hoorah for non standard bits on the Optima Mid...
You are totally right about these wheels, and the narrows up front improve the look of this car no end. Nice one.

That thing looks like it could chew you up and spit you out standing still, how awesome would it look in action, very Astute looking with those wheels I must admit, but then I usually miss the subtle details until I can study them more and more.

Black and orange, yes - they go together well...

...but it is ALSO the blue and orange that are working together perfectly - because those colours are opposites !

I like it !

Stunning Andy. Agreed, the Egress wheels (tyres too) look amazing although as good as they are, I doubt they'd improve the look of a Striker lol Waiting for the re issue of this, as you very well know

Agree with everyone, it looks crazy good!! That color, those rims/tires and that mean, low stance -- Wow! It's really begging to be run in the vintage offroad nationals!!
