firstly , big thanks to percymon for pulling me out of the water with a big stick on this one ;) , i could not have saved the bodyshell or decals on this one if it wasnt for him ! so thanks for your help mate , restored this one after wanting a vanquish since release more than any other tamiya before or since ? dont know why but this is my favourite model ever released by tamiya , and now i finally got one , the restore was nothing but hairpulling from start to finish and everything that could go wrong did go wrong and more , like dropping it several times and spilling paint on the carpet ! everything ! so i started calling it lucifers chariot !!!

Looks lovely Shaun, no-one would know the turmoil it caused you based on quality of the finished article. Suggest you go for a model with boxart in skin colour as your next project, that way your wife won't think you've been down the pot noodle mines

I'm not very jacked up on the Vanquish, but for a resto, those results are superb! The labour of love easily overshadows the burdens of toil. Great work biggamehunter - Top shelf mate!
