It's been a while since I ran old KERMIT THE HULK b/c the metal gear high-torque servo i put in it tore the servo mounts to shreds last time i ran it. i picked up a couple of (clod?) metal servo mounts which happen to be a perfect fit. a little dremel work and hopefully the problem is solved. will give it a run tomorrow and see how it works...

Beefy my friend,
clever fix there! I noticed your uprights look really solid, where are they from? And somehow I also missed, that the RE RE Frog dampers have plastic upper end for ball pin? Have fun getting Kermit out again!

thanks guys! i linked this to the right showroom entry that talks about the arms and uprights... have a looksie via the link on the bottom of the page. one semi-weird (also semi-BRILLIANT) thing i did was to invert the uprights to shift the shock mounting point to the bottoms to give the shocks room to breath with the shock mount which is lower than typical when using these style ORV uprights. the big wheels make this possible leaving plenty of clearance below. to do this you also need to flip the suspension arms top for bottom to get the proper alignment. in the end, however, you have a MUCH more robust setup than the wimpy metal frog / SRB uprights.

I think this is becoming a force to be reckoned with! It needs a tank girl bobble head to finish it out
