Bought this Blazer off the Bay in October last year and really haven't done anything with it untill now.
The chassis has been fully stripped, cleaned and re-built with the brass bearing's being replaced for new bearing's. The gear-box is still to be done.
The body-work had been re-painted over the years with at least x3 coats of different types of paint which has been a pain to remove only to find that a previous owner had stripped the paint at one time and scratched the white body.
There is a hair line crack and body damage to the front left wing which will be repaired before paint. Most of the metal work has been cleaned using a Ultrasonic Cleaner and the whole re-build so far has been a joy, although its taken a week to remove all the paint by taking it in-turns with either Dot-4 brake fluid or De-solvent graffiti remover. The roof panels are brand new and never been used before thanks a TC member for the trade.
I hope you like the progress so far and thanks for looking :-)

ALL White!! How it arrived with Insulation Tape stripes Chassis as it arrived Brand new roof panels

A true labour of love and will be worth it in the end because we know how good you are at paint jobs. The Shakey Water thing is a must as well for restoring these.

Looking good so far! It will be well worth it in the end. I saw this blazer on ebay, nearly went for it. One day I'll get one to go with my Hiluxs. Cheers Marcus

I too purchased my blazer off the bay and had the same hard work involving stripping the paint- also revealing a crack but on mine it was the off side above the rear wheel arch. The effort is well rewarded though and when you finally get to paint it you begin to realize why these old trucks are so sought after... love mine and is my show piece tamiya. Well done and like everyone else look forward to the finished article
