This is the NOS body that i got from japan. As can be seen,it is now the correct blue and after a flat and polish will be ready for decals. It actually took 3 cans of the Tamiya TS 15 blue to get a decent cover and some depth to the paint. The driver is painted box art colours.

just needs a flat and polish to give a real shine Close up,you can see how unsteady my painting was

Simply a beautiful paint job. Looks better than a factory finish, excellent! Dont worry about the driver, he'll look fine once hes in the cockpit. You mention flat and polish?Any chance of sharing what that means exactly? Look forward to seeing it finished.

Hi Dirt
When i paint something, and its been left to dry for a week or so,i generally go over it with some 1200 grade wet and dry sand paper and then polish it with some compound. This gets rid of any dust specks and imperfections while giving a deep shine. Its easier on a blocky body shape, but with patience the results can be stunning. Thanks for the comments
