Hi Guys!, Got my GCSE results today. I got an A!!! Very pleased, considering it felt like I spent more time tinkering with Tamiyas than revising. haha. When I got home dad came in with a large box, I opened it up to find this beauty. He's had stashed away for some time and bought it without me knowing. The chassis is very good, I really dont think its had much use. The shell, yes its a bit tatty but it shows its age and I like that, if I wanted it pristine I would just go and buy a rere. Also came with period radio gear which will all be staying in there as she is very honest and original, I want to keep it that way. I have got a rere fridge freezer as some call it to put in it. A few other bits need attention on the body but other than that its all good. Thanks for looking, Marcus! ;)

Well done Marcus on your 'A' and what a lovely surprise as your reward. I'll be interested to see how this young up start compares to old 3 speeds we both have passion for!

Cheers hot rod, yeah this is my kind of A*. I must say a big thank you to my dad as without him I wouldnt have any of these models but he knows I'm very much like him and love old cars and respect them. He got quite excited when he saw it aswell for the first time. Might have to let him try and have a little drive. Marcus

Thanks Steve, it feels like it was well worth it. Aha, yeh although I think dad himself quite likes the look of a bruiser now. Certainly will enjoy this one and you're right I reckon it will star in many of my videos when finished, although my video editor is playing up at the moment. Anyway thanks again, marcus

Congrats on your GCSE results & on receiving this beauty... you have great taste, which is nice to see from someone your age, there can't be many of your peers who are into R/C cars that are considerably older than yourself!

Cheers everybody, cant wait to get this running. The rear bed looks like its going to need work to get a rere sleeper cab in there I've got for it. DerbyDan: Thank you, in fact I got the mick taken out of me at school for my love of R/C cars. The few people I no my age who like R/C don't really like the old stuff there more into doing huge jumps and stuff like that. I guess I get it from my dad who collects 1/1 classic cars. Cheers, Marcus
