M01 with Monte Carlo Body
bought cheap off ebay a couple of years ago, decided to finally redo the body. Initially painted the body black with some plasti-dip, but settled on a Monte Carlo body set I'd been given for christmas one year. It still needs a new set of rims and rally block tyres, plus I am working on adding in head and brake lights. The circuit is made, just have to make some light buckets. Silly me ended up having to add in the black along the roof line as I stuffed up the masking and it bled badly.
I find the mini's good fun to drive, and frequently bash my M03 :)
cheers

The Monte Carlo body looks fantastic, and I think the plasti-dipped Body is a top idea, and a great way to give an old body a new look .

What an AWESOME transformation, I dig it in the red. I think you need to source some new wheels, there are some sellers getting rid of the gold plated wheels quite cheaply, I picked some up earlier this year as they were cheap and look good and done by Tamiya to boot.

Thanks Max Power an Crash Cramer. Agreed it needs new wheels. Thats part of the next stage, that and working headlights and tail lights. Although my daughter wants me to add in angel eyes! not too sure about that one though.
The great thing about the plasti-dip is that if you get overspray it comes off without too much trouble. Thats how I did the wheel arches, and then I trimmed then back.

I'm always tempted to buy one of these, they look great and I bet they are great fun to drive.
