This Striker was dead.

I found it into the trashcan of my local hobby shop and saved it. It was all covered with hard epoxy resin. I made a first attempt to save it's life some years ago, with bad results.

This summer I gave it a second chance and now it's alive again.

Body and chassis was in so bad condition that I worked so hard as I never did it before to restore them.

Driver has been cutted away, the driver plate replaced with an ABS sheet and the driver transplanted on. No more protrusion on the right arm that has been rebuilt with some modelling surgery.

Front damper stay replaced with Sonic Fighter one to allow oil dampers all around.

Front blue nose is painted because sticker doesn't match to curved body surface. Same solution with helmet stripes.
The car is totally ball beared with a modified motor instead the ugly silver can.

Numbers are replaced with Grasshopper ones.

Driver suit is orange to give a warmy color touch to the car.

Comments are wellcome.

Painted blue nose. Oil dampers all around. 1 Orange suit. Blue shielded ball bearings all around. Rebuilt steering wheel. Painted details. Grasshopper numbers. No more protrusion on the driver right arm. Painted helmet stripes. Hard work on this car.

Great work Max,
cannot believe, that this is the Striker you started with! Pobably it´s a shelfer now, with all that work on the chassis?

Just amazing. I am a big fan of starting with trash and turning it into a gem. That is what you have done. Probably one of the definitive strikers. Perfect.
