my Sand Scorcher with a few additions
this is a re-release Sand Scorcher, it was on my Christmas list for years but one never came down the chimney! so here is my new one! it has a set of original JR tyres as I prefer the look, there is a sport tuned motor, 2.4ghz and Yeah Racing rear shocks, it is painted in Candy Yellow, its a shame the camera cant pick up how the colour shines back in the sun. when it goes out for a run I do change the wheels to the black set as in the photos as I really don't want to scuff the alloy or original tyres, hope you like it!

What a fantastic S.C. I really good twist on an absolute classic. I really like the contrast of the black rims, I'm going to borrow that idea for my S.C.

Nice work. I can remember those Christmas mornings hoping for a Tamiya
That's a great looking scorcher, now all it needs is a beach run.

thanks for the comments they are appreciated, the Yeah Racing rear shocks are 55mm, they came with a load of universal fittings but I found that with a little soap and perseverance that the rubber bushes that came with the original kit fitted very well, I even used the original bolts, the bushes give just enough play to get the right angle. well worth it if you can find a set.

Prefer the Hornet rims, suits the black strips and makes the bug more original! Those 'run photo's' are going to be real eye candy!
