This is my 2nd S.C. I wouldn't have sold the other one, but there was always this feeling of discomfort with it as the shell had been repaired. I'm sure this will make sense to some of you, a kind of itchy, scratchy not totally happy under lying feeling. Anyway this one came up for sale from an old T.C member who I have bought from before and we worked out a price we were both happy with. So the other S.C has now gone and I feel I have traded up, but most importantly the odd feeling has gone and it has now been replaced with satisfaction. I was never a fan of the S.C, but I am now, I still really don't understand what the fuss is all about it and I don't get why such an uber model, that was so expensive and is so sought after uses so many cable ties...
I have a BNIB speed controller and I will fit period radio gear, then I want to track down some vintage rear tyres and then the job is done.

Nice example there buddy well done. So many times my finger has hovered over the buy button for a buggy like this but I always end up buying a monster truck I must be addicted! One day though one day. Alex

You have a funny relationship with Super Champs buddy but it's great to see tyre lettering

I would feel the same and always looking for a model in better condition. Looks a stunner by the way

One of the best looking single seater Baja style buggies Tamiya has made!
I would love to drive one on the beach!
I would drive it slow just so I could see its fantastic looks!
I love the Champ!
Simon this looks great fella and with the tyre lettering as the icing on the cake it sure is a pretty sight!

i love the SC. i think i like it because it's weird. but it's also so insanely fragile - the body shell anyway. i'd never drive mine. i had the same as you - a couple models with shells of varying states of (dis)repair and eventually scored an intact like-new one. i've still never fully finished it. i can only hope mine turns out this nice.

I feel the Super Champ is One of Tamiya's proudest moments. What an excellent example you got there.

gravetxt-1, thanks buddy, I love big trucks as well, but every now and then something else catches my eye. Hit that buy it now button next time! SRB Bloke, you are right on that front! I like them now and sometimes the model has to be just right or I'm just not happy with it. Thanks RallyeBaz, I'm hopefully going through the process of improving the quality of my models instead of just having a lot of them. MAD-BEE Thank you my friend, its a pretty decent one isn't it? A keeper for sure.
