I saw this one on ebay a couple of times. The fist few times I didn't follow the auction closely, as I thought Bigwig's were so highly sought after, that the bidding would soon be higher than I could afford. But on seeing it re listed for the third time I decided to have a crack at buying it. The buggy was in good condition when I received it, but it didn't present particularity well. It had the decals removed, a sorry looking paint job, and the bumper had been repaired with a piece of old steel sign. A rebuild, new bumper, reproduction shell and now I have a buggy I didn't believe I would ever get to own. Thanks for looking ;)

Whoohoo, I LOVE IT !!!

Looks fantastic, and they make nice runners too, if it wasn´t for the ridicoulous small amount of steering throw.

I always liked this color choice
InsaneJim69
Very smart indeed.
... Maybe its just me but the sides are a wee bit bare and could do with a sponsor logo of some sort, in keeping with the colour , theme and also era of the car?

Thanks guys! Hi Jim_GT-R, I didn't have any of the decals for the kit, so it is missing some that would go beside the driver and the 4WD ones on the wing. I would like to one day get an original shell and decals, but this is it for the moment
.
InsaneJim69
Ah, looking at the reference section now and see what you mean.
........ have you tried having custom decals made to what you want.? make it a bit different from kit standard.
Max Power
I'm happy with how it is now. I had thought of an alternative paint scheme, but the longer I pondered about it the more I thought that it needed to be a least box art colours.

I think you receive a nice condition of the Big Wig

Awesome Bigwig, such an iconic model, and one that all should desire to have in their collection, nice job mate

Nicely refurbed BigWig and usually most used and even so called restored BigWig's don't have immaculately done paint and decal work. Nice to see yours done nicely in the minimalist look (was that intentional?). Cheers
Mirrorman
Beautifull finish MaxPower. That's one immaculate BigWig ... and the photography really does it justice. Cheers, Mirrorman

Thanks fellas! Hi Sunnyjai, the minimalist look is not intentional, I would love to do a proper box art job on this one at some stage

looks great a very great buggy

This was a Tamiya just like the Falcon when first released it was a wow look at that head turner with lots of quirkiness and had those big yellow shocks! and was a bit like marmite!

I am a massive Falcon fan and in recent times have become a big admirer of the BigWig for sure MP! I was very fascinated by the BW as a kid with its 8.4 battery, air intake, pipes, and curvy body! but this buggy never did that well at our club but by then it was up against modified Hotshots & Boomerangs! and never really had time to develop as my old club packed up a year or so after the BigWig!
But now the BigWig has become a very special sort after buggy and is in my opinion one of the most interesting 4WDs to look at! but feel the box art is the best with these! and to put a Ghost to rest about the BigWig...yes it does have a decent performance in vintage terms looking at videos of it running! I just remember it being so stiff suspension wise back in the day! but if set up right these look a good performer!
Sorry I am waffling again Mate!lol
Your BigWig looks well smart! these really do look the business!
I would be well happy to have this in my collection! The BW is on my shopping list!
Cheers MAD-BEE

Perfection! The Bigwig was THE car that was introduced and we all lusted after just as I was exiting RC the first time around. I wanted it so baldy but it was out of reach. There's something about how you present yours, including the photography, that takes me back there again...
Max Power
Thanks mate!
