Here is a Midnight Pumpkin that Tamiya sent me (Via RCCA) for free! Reason being, is I just wrote up another article for RCCA magazine on weathering, and needed a test mule to build and shoot photos for the article. Honestly I've always wanted a Pumpkin, so this worked out well! I didn't do any other detailing to it, as I will run it, and didn't want to over complicate the article. Was a fun build that I think I'll be revisiting to add some extra details and lights later on. Will post scans of the article once it comes out.

Excellent weathering work! I almost found myself saying that the Pumpkin needed some badly-perished tires and a cracked chassis, too

Great job Scott - explains why you've been quiet on the forum; I was wondering what was brewing int he background
Skottoman
Well yes the tires will get some abuse and possibly a cracked chassis as well in the future! Heh. I had to do this build in 2 days for the article.

Skottoman, that looks fantastic!

I really love this new 'worn but still strong' technique which is gaining momentum, and the bonus is you can thrash it without concern! I need to learn it - most of my vehicles are just worn...
Supercoolnothing
Awesome, I've used this technique on some of my model tanks, I'd never thought about doing it on an rc car before. I wonder if it could be adapted towwork on a lexan shell?
BiggusDitchus
