I was always a Tamiya kid so when I got back into the hobby they were all I wanted. I do also love a lot of the vintage Kyosho models which I never knew about before but Associated never appealed to me until around 8 years ago when I spotted the Original RC10 and was blown away by it!!
I immediately wanted one but was surprised how much a NIB one demanded. I searched for several months to find one in my price range but with no luck....:(
Then came the re re and my prayers were answered ;) I am so, so happy they re re this one and to now finally have one after all those years :):)

Thanks to all for looking and any comments appreciated as always!

Same here. I try to be Tamiya only but I saw and RC10 at TC2012 and was blown away too. I've had 2 vintage projects that I just couldn't get into because they weren't Tamiya so I recently bought the rere too and plan to mix it about a bit with a different shell and different wheels/tyres. Nice one. J

Yes they really do look superb John. It is nice that you do have 2 vintage ones and are able to mix them up a bit with the re re Look forward to seeing the outcome
Cheers! Sagar

Sagar, I sold the vintage projects and then bought the rere. I just didn't have the desire to restore a vintage. I have too much Tamiya too restore etc. I have to say though I've still researched what I can do to the rere and I've ended up with 3 bodyshells and 4 sets of wheels/tyres so I can turn the 1 buggy into 3 different buggies. Enjoy your build J

I am more about Tamiya too! but have added a Marui Hunter & Kyosho Nexxt to my collection so far this year!!!
So a little mix up is good!

If we all had to have one car that was not Tamiya in our collections! This is the one!!!! The legendary RC10!
Enjoy this classic mate.

Couldn't agree more....Tamiya will always be my first love but I too became interested in the short-arm 6-gear a few years ago and, after not finding a suitable used original to purchased, decided to go with a NIB re-re for the build experience and can't wait to get started. I'm no diehard AE fanatic but this re-re is a dream come true....nice score!

Your thoughts are exactly as mine R/CVET...Would most likely never buy an AE again unless I am lucky enough to get my hands on another one of these but like many of you its Tamiya all the way!

Cheers buddy!

As most, my first proper rc was a tamiya hornet but always wanted an rc10 goldpan. Looked on the bay in recent years but most would come up in the U.S. and would cost a bit to get over to U.K. When I heard of re release just had to get one,so treated myself for xmas and built it xmas night and boxing day( just like when I was a kid lol..). Haven't finished yet (body) but have given it an old skool twist with vintage electrics...

I was exactly the same SAVYBOY and for the same reasons had no luck until the re re came along and the rest was history Just hope to get one more in the future...
Look forward to seeing your one posted when it is finished...are you going with Box Art? I personally will be as I love the colour.
Cheers!

Don't think I'll go box art on this one, some sort of black and gold scheme, or bright colours with a black'n'white (cow print) on the front, as was a trend back in the day?? Haven't got a showroom yet to put up pics but I will get around to doing it as I got a couple of cars now and some projects on the go including a little homage/twist with my hpi baja which i will sort out when I give it a service in a few months time..

Sounds like you got some nice ideas in mind and will be interesting to see what you do go for in the end....Also look forward to having a look at your showroom once you have sorted it out
