Thanks to a fellow TC Member.
After receiving a message from a fellow TC member about a madcap that he had to sell me. I was more than happy to purchase after he sent me some pics. We agreed on a good price and a deal was done. :)
Well it arrived today and I am very happy with the purchase. It has been used but is in generally good condition. Includes an alloy motor mount and cva shocks all round. a spare body and some spare parts too.
This will eventually be restored, but will strip it all down, clean everything and put it all together as a runner for a little while. The cva's def need a rebuild, so i have ordered some Tamiya damper o-rings for them and already have loads of brand new spare damper parts for their rebuild.
I also have a lovely nib Tamiya Acto 2wd pink motor for display once its restored. But it will run a 19T motor and a LRP esc for running purposes.

It does look good and that yellow body, different. The wings always took the brunt of the impacts for me, so it always gets torn and bent and out of shape, but yours looks in good shape. Nice purchase.

Thanks. I have a few cheap new toothbrushes that i bought for this and some natural orange based degreaser, as well as a few new screw bags for the madcap. Really looking forward to having this all cleaned, built and then running again.

Great buy mate nice project for the year ahead, I am still looking for a NIB Madcap for my collection, have been for years there must be one out there somewhere? it's becoming an obsession......lol any help anyone?
InsaneJim69
Lol. Yes a nib would indeed be hard to find. Well i now have a bearing kit for the madcap, a few new screw bags, large 5mm E clips and a few other bits and bobs for the rebuild. Hopefully get started end of the week, strip everything down for cleaning. Had a wee closer look at the Madcap today and its in better condition than i first thought.

by the way - to add this to the SIG just edit it and select the madhatters then save...
