Project Number 2
Purchased this for a very decent price from a fellow TC member.
Arrived today and boy do I have my cut out. Planning on doing a similar thing with the Grasshopper as I am at the moment with my Madcap. Will be restored to running order with a full strip down and clean of every part. Although the body is past saving, so a new body and decals will be purchased at some point.

Yeah no real damage as such, just an inch of dirt to dig through. Lol. Hopefully get cracking with stripping it down on Sunday perhaps

Don't forget to wear some rubber gloves when stripping or could end up with no oil left in your skin. I am doing similar work on three M-03 chassis bits right now, have to sort a proper bearing cleaner/soak that will also be safe on the metal screws. Any suggestions??? Mind you, I live in the USA and some chemicals are not easy to source. I used to use what was labled as 'Dry Cleaners Solvent/spot remover' but that has been long gone from the shelves and no replacement found today at the 1:1 auto supply store. My goal is to find a non water based degreaser, but most of them are water based and that will lead to rust and I can't be bothered with multiple steps, I like to let things soak, pull them out, submerge again in a cleaner tank of solution and then pull out and let dry/evaporate. Thanks in advance for the advice.

The degreaser i am using is 'Chemicak Guys Orange Degreaser' its made by the huge automotive car care products range from Chemical Guys. It contains the oils/citrus extract from oranges which is a natural degreaser. Although i intend on using a dry toothbrush and a microfibe to remove as much grease and dirt from the metal parts.
