Progress!
Making some progress on my Super Champ! I love the look of this buggy! Black wheels with vintage wheel covers complete the look. To prevent oil leaking, I blocked the oil bottle outlet with a piece of toothpick. I wanted the look of a full oil bottle without the puddle under the buggy! :-)

Got me a Super Champ! Woo-hoo!

Good looking, can see the shadow lines of the decals, what is next for it?? A buff and shine or a repaint??? I might have to send you my body for a buff and shine if you are up to it. I think a spot of super glue on the bottle cap could do a longer seal job than the toothpick???

Thanks Chris! Actually, the toothpick was a nice tight fit in the brass outlet that should get tighter as it swells. I plan on painting the body after fixing its defects.

So, paint, blue or black?? Decals??? Home made or the real deal. I think it is the lack of decals that is stopping me from putting my Super Champ into PERFECT condition, but I still like it just the way it is.

I am thinking blue with some original decals. They were pricey but worth it to bring this legend back to life!

Great result so far on your project! To see the Champ at this stage, brings back a lot of good memories... lovely!
