An almost standard High Lift. I had one of these when they were new, sold it, wished I'd kept it, then they got too expensive to justify another one. Found out about banzai hobbies 40% off, couldn't resist it and bagged one of these. I was going to build it modified out of the box with a 4 link system and a modified gearbox, but impatience got the better of me (and the knowledge I still have 3 scratch build projects on the go), so I built it stock with minimal mods for the time being. The mods were simply to fit a 3 racing light kit and the leds from a lightbar kit to the rollbar lights, and to make a new rear chassis bulkhead to replace the ill fitting Tamiya item. I made this out of a lump of aluminium, the body hinges, leaf springs, and old retaining bolts all bolt straight into it, and the battery retaining plate bolts into the 8 threaded holes in the bottom of the chassis. It's an ideal fit for a Zippy Flightmax 2s lipo.
I do intend to mod this to death at some point in the future, probably involving 6wd and rear walking beams, but for now I'm just going to enjoy it looking good trundling round the garden. My 2 year thought it was great, until I got my dusty 4x4x4 lunch box out of the loft. When he saw that he grabbed it and said 'This ones much better Daddy'. :)
