Some of you guys may not like me after posting this, but this is my Blazing Blazer I have had for several years. I found it from a guy who cleaned out abandoned storage units, he had it advertised as vintage Chevy R/C. Could not believe it was a Blazing Blazer! I have struggled on whether or not to build it, but now that all of my other cars are done, I think I might have to finish it. I think I might go with a deep metallic blue as opposed to black, or orange. I can't decide... This r/c is my absolute favorite, I remember seeing them in the hobby stores in '82 through '84. They looked so huge and the detail was so incredible. My dad even considered buying one for himself until he saw the price and all that was needed to go along with it.

When I found this one, someone had started building the chassis, but had done nothing else. They had even purchased the shock kit for it. I still can't believe I found one...

Maybe Tamiya will rerelease them and I can have another... I am posting all of my Tamiya cars in my showroom, please check them out!

...love that you build it! I would do the same! ...I'd even run it at least once ...if possible on soft sand!

I am loving the story, wish I could have hauled my dad to a hobby store back in those days. I really need to come up and visit sometime soon and see your collection. Houston isn't all that far from you and I could get some grub at In and Out Burgers too.

I've had this kit for some 12 years or so. For whatever reason I never built it, just saved it. But, it may be time to dive into it!

If I had one I would build it......I'm not in the whole collection thing for the money/investment. I will be building a NIB Wild Willy this summer. Been NIB for 30 year or so, box not perfect so why not eh?? Lucky guy.....a Blazer!
