Today was our monthly Scale RC Offroad meet at Mousehold Heath Norwich. The last couple of times I've had small model syndrome even though I have been running a Hilux/SCX10 hybrid. This time I remembered I have the Mud Blaster to hold its own with the other big tyred models. Cannot believe how good these trucks are even on a silver can / TEU ESC. Some of the hills were hard work getting traction, but for jumping tree roots and muddy puddles it was awesome.

Thanks for looking and comments welcome

Looks fun. You need a rollbar to keep 'ol Rusty safe when going uphill! That's the exact thing I do when running against modern Axial vehicles, haha.

Thanks for the comments. I was worried rolling over the model but surprised how stable it is. Yep Damo was there stranded in the woods with his model falling apart as usual lol. Got the dreaded task now of cleaning the model. Tempted to put a crawler motor in it to see how it performs.

Its great to see the Mud Blaster doing its thing, pic 5,6 & 7..
Loosing that rear diff might help a little with the crawling capabilities of the beast.
Looks like a Blast was had by all.

Did not know you had a mud blaster, classic truck from my youth. Good to see one actually do what it was intended for. I'm not sure about the crawler motor in a 2wd truck, you need a fast motor to get a run up for the hills and puddles!. One thing i do wonder looking at these pics what an mb would look like with medium size wheels ala hilux etc, could be quite interesting? But i suppose that would make it a brat!?

I was looking forward to the swamp last time, but unfortunately it had dried up : ( I had put the ESC/Receiver in a plastic bag and the model did suddenly slow down going through the wet mud, but luckily it was just the battery getting low. Phew. I've had this model for 6 years now but was not getting a look in with the more expensive models taking all the shelf glory. Steve I'm tempted to lock the diff which should be interesting lol.
