managed to grab the new DT03 kit at a great price from Germany so decided to follow Super Gripper's build as close as possible to get an entry level buggy at a race level hopefully good enough for the Astroturf track at my local club. most new DT03 hop-ups added, DT02 ball diff on its way and stabilizers still to be fitted. managed to get 3racing UJ's for the rear and just using a cheap 9t brushless to get started which seems to be plenty! just finished first test drive just out on the road shows i def need some weight in the front! hoping ball diff will help tame some of the front end lift and get the power down smoother. any hints or tips on improvements gratefully received. i know it'll never be in the same league as my Centro C4.1 and other race buggies at the club but i have a good vibe about this as a 'learner' buggy to switch from 4wd to 2wd racing this year. very happy with the lame flake/cobalt green combo. :)

This buggy has a lot of rear end so the race wing will need cutting right down, are they ballistic buggy tyres you have on the rear ?

Wow, I did the same few days ago! £64.50 delivered to UK, great bargain (CVA shocks, motor and ESC included!). Your buggy looks cool

Hi, yes the wing is too much now knowing how the rear end is, can see why the kit wing is so small. Yes just some spare wheels with ballistics on (whites I think) to try out on the astroturf track thurs night - thought the kit minispikes would be too fierce. Need to get new tyres, not sure if Schumacher yellows will be better. I need to learn more about soft or hard settings on the front and rear.

Nice effort - i've got some motor wires to solder on mine, before it gets a bashing. I've kept with the kit C hubs/knukles for now, but have all the DT-03 hop-ups and the DT-02 ball diff with DF-02 universals. And a set of TRF shocks. A nice build but taking half of it apart again to fit/change the stabilisers is a pain

Thanks Percymon - i know it'll be a right pain having to strip it down again to fit the diff and stabilizers but should be worth it. just as an aside for everyone in all the DT03 'research' i've actually come across a place in Germany (www.mz-modellbau-shop.de) selling a DT03 Conversion Kit for 30euros to turn any DT02 Kit into a DT03 - i have one on order and just happen to have a Sand Viper Kit fresh in from Japan (only £37!!!! but got stung on customs) - so a second DT03 on it's way! (providing i can get a shell!)
