TIME TO GET MY SAND SCORCHER OFF THE SHELF AGAIN!!!
Hi guys,
After all the great Old School vintage pics on the TC and seeing RuniR's Gorgeous Holiday buggy I just had to drive a vintage classic on the beach again! My Holiday buggy has had most of the running out of my vintage cars and now is just about shelf retired! So it was my Scorchers turn to hit the beach!:)
I took some pics for you guys to see so thanks for looking;)
and must say! What a hoot!!!!!Scorcher was a blast from the past! Forgotten how much fun these SRBs are!!!
Had my Mad Fighter out too! Awesome fast thing!
I did not break anything so a great trip!:)
Guys if you get a day off work and have free time get a vintage out for a spin there is nothing like it!!;)
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...

Fantastic! Seeing these classics being as used as they are supposed to is a treat! Thanks for sharing.

Can't beat a Scorcher being driven in anger. Great pics
RuniR
Nice shots! In the end this is what they are made for. I must say this type of pictures look better than my clean Holliday Buggy pics.
Back to the big dilemma: to run or not to run…..
The last picture is awesome, geweldig!
MAD-BEE
Thanks guys, appreciated!
@RuniR To run or not!! is a very good question! I do not run this Scorcher too often and my Holiday buggy is just about retired to shelf duties! I want to keep my Holiday buggy in nice clean condition! Not as nice as yours though mate!
but yes to run or not is a hard decision for us all to make sometimes for sure! Its great to have mint condition vintage shelfers to admire! but then its amazing and full of nostalgia driving these rare old classics too! but I always take it easy on them!
I am sure one day my cars will just all sit on the shelf collecting dust when my running days are past! Thanks all.

Dude!! great to see the scorcher out.
Loving the pics as always... Aren't you glad you kept that one

Indeed james you are an inspiration to us all and will hopefully be heading off to yarmouth later this year so will pick a reliable runner (or two!!!) to take with me. Have just about completed a vintage runner hotshot so that may be going and with out doubt the FAV too. After seeing your scorcher would love to take mine but spent a lot of cash getting it boxart so until i get a runner that srb experience will have to wait sob sob Ps still think you need a 4WD in your stable... any ideas what you would like ?
MAD-BEE
Oh yes Steve!! for sure buddy
@Justin mate I would love to see you take your Blazing Blazer for a spin
FAV is a must! good choice! but you must savour the SRB experience one day!!
No cash for more cars but I will give you a shout in the near future!!
A 4WD is needed in my new stream line collection!
PS take on your Yarmouth trip a Hornet/hopper or something like it!
My Mad Fighter is so quick!
A solid bet!!
its that rigid axel!
long battery life and very reliable!
Cheers guys.

Great shots, hopefully the start of a long summer!

my blazer??? on a beach ??? you mad lol.... actually would love to mate but i'm scared to death of damaging the old girl- very tempted to get another 3 speed chassis and maybe mod it with a different body like a clod body??? will see what happens with cash flow and maybe one day. As for a 4wd mate you should probably try a thundershot chassis ? very reliable and only weak spot of any serious note is the dreaded A5. Anyway off to comfort my blazer has got nervous since you mentioned sand.... or has it heard from my fav how good my coastal driving is lol
Ram318
Great pics. Im a shelfer but sure love to see the pics of these great buggys out and about.

nice action shots, I haven't driven my scorchers for ever, makes me want to get them out when our spring snow melts
MAD-BEE
Thanks again guys, A long Summer would be nice KingCab06! @Justin lol mate
and a Blazer is a very big clean up job after!! Sand in that 3 speed gearbox don't bare thinking about
@Ram318 I am getting that way! I run them less & less these day but once in a while I see something on the club that gives me that urge!!
Cheers Seth you must take yours out and stamp your great trade mark action shots on it! Would love to see them

Quality over Quantity! If I sold off my showroom then my Sand Scorcher would be in my top 2 of keepers! Good choice MAD-BEE!

MAD-BEE mate its wicked to see you giving this absolute legend of a buggy a good run and in it's natural habitat too! I just love SRB's! Proper vintage. The design is soo awesome and I love how you can get them nice and dirty then a quick rinse off and plonk em back on the shelf! Sorted. This era of RC is top! Great pics mate I particularly like no.8
